About

Welcome!

I’m Ellie, a Primary-trained teacher with a degree in French and Hispanic Studies who has spent the past five years working as a specialist French practitioner, teaching children aged from 7 to 11 years old, at a school in Leicester.

I am passionate about creating a buzz around language-learning through engaging and creative Modern Foreign Language (MFL) lessons, designated curriculum days, international partnerships, trips and extra-curricular clubs. The thing that I love most about teaching French at Primary level is seeing every day how language-learning can inspire such excitement in children, open their eyes to the world and help them to grow in confidence.

I share ideas and resources here, on my blog, but also on Twitter, as well as speaking at conferences, upskilling other teachers, working with Primary PGCE students and carrying out consultancy work.

Get in touch, comment and join the conversation. Let’s spread the word about the importance and joy of teaching of Primary MFL!

Ellie 🙂
